Despite the threats of super typhoon "Pepeng", the 19 candidates of the Mr. & Ms. Mabiga 2009 joins the clean and green campaign of Philippine Land Group, Inc., developer of Grandview Heights Subdivisions and Grandview Tower. Candidates of the said pageant planted 15 fruit bearing trees on October 03, 2009 inside the Grandview Heights 2 subdivision. PLGI supports the pageant to encourage the youth to participate in saving the environment.

The pre-pageant of the Mr. & Ms. Mabiga 2009 will be held on October 10, 2009, 3PM at the Robinson's Mall  Event Center in Balibago, Angeles City. The Grand Coronation Night will be held on October 17, 2009, 7PM at the Covered Court of PhilHomes Subdivision in Mabalacat. winners of this years's Mr. and Ms. Mabiga will represent the Barangay of Mabiga and compete for the Town's prestigious Mr. & Ms. Mabalacat.
